20081013 beach time-outs

with legs splayed, belly pouched and close-eyed face into the sun, he was just soaking up the cool breeze and warm sun of the pacific coast. i still love it. i’m always trying to remind myself to pause and savor little moments, work or play. seeing this guy nailed what that savoring looks like. just a reminder to myself, and anyone else who needs it…..

on saturday after amy and mike’s beautiful coastal wedding in la jolla, calif., my friend taite and i hit the beach in san diego and checked out the historic hotel del coronado along the beach. we took in some adult beverages and soaked up the afternoon, walking on the beach and continuing to catch-up since high school, more than a decade passed….yowza! as we left the beach i spotted this scene.

whatever celebration it had been, the sandscape and beach-goers were re-claiming the venue…..
